Cafe Rio

WINTER PARK, Fla. – UP Development is proud to welcome Café Rio Mexican Grill and The Habit Burger Grill to Winter Park Square, the new retail development at Lee Road and Orlando Avenue anchored by Whole Foods Market and Nordstrom Rack.
The two restaurants share a 4,600 square-foot parcel in Phase I of UP Development’s 11-acre shopping center at Lee Road and Orlando Avenue, one of the busiest urban retail and restaurant corridors in Winter Park, just minutes from Interstate 4 and Downtown Orlando.
Cafe Rio Mexican Grill will open on September 27, 2017, marking the Utah-based restaurant group’s first Central Florida location.
“We’re excited to bring to the market new restaurant options that are proven winners with diners seeking fresh, authentic and creative menus. They are the perfect fit to our tenant mix serving the Winter Park and Maitland communities,” said Scott Fish, principal of UP Development. “In addition to Café Rio and Habit Burger opening, we’re close to announcing our next retailers for our remaining spaces of Phase I, including a well-known brand for the highly visible 4,500 square-foot corner site.”
Cafe Rio, a high-growth, fast-casual Mexican restaurant company, specializes in serving made-from-scratch dishes inspired by recipes and traditional cooking found in Northern Mexico’s Rio Grande region, Southern Texas and New Mexico. Cafe Rio operates over 100 restaurants in 11 states.
Habit Burger Grill is planning a fall 2017 grand opening. The California-based restaurant company distinguishes itself in the fast casual better burger segment with its signature Charburger, menu variety and value. The Habit has grown to over 190 restaurants in 10 states throughout California, Arizona, Utah, New Jersey, Florida, Idaho, Virginia, Nevada, Washington and Maryland as well as two international locations.
Serving one of Central Florida’s most affluent areas, UP Development opened Phase I of Winter Park Square in 2016. UP Development plans to begin permitting of it 2.5 acre Phase II by the end of the year.
